Key findings
This report gives an overview of how survey participants have integrated and been welcomed into Danish society. The report provides key numbers on several factors, such as equality, recognition, gender roles, faith and religion. For example, 33 % of survey participants aged 18-29 with migrant background of the countries from the middle east and North Africa, Türkiye, and Pakistan experienced a rejection on their application for a job, bank loan, housing or mobile subscription because of their ethnic background. More than one in two (57%) of survey participants aged 18-29 and 30% of participants aged 30+ with migrant background from the MENA, Türkiye, and Pakistan have experienced insulting words or degrading jokes because of their ethnic background. The report also provides numbers on experiences with hatred as a motive, even though this is not defined as hate crimes. 8% of survey participants aged 18-29 and 7% of survey participants aged 30+ with migrant background of the countries from the middle east and North Africa, Türkiye, and Pakistan have experienced being spat on, pushed or hit because of their ethnic background. Only 14% of survey participants aged 18+ have ever complained to an authority or organization about the discrimination they have experienced, the main reason being that a complaint won't change anything.
Methodology (Qualitative/Quantitative and exact type used, questionnaires etc)

Sample details and representativeness
The participants in the survey are immigrants, descendants of immigrants and people of Danish origin aged 18 years and older. The immigrants in the survey have had at least three years of residence in Denmark. The survey is based on a representative stratified random sample, where respondents are randomly selected from the current CPR register. From 2022 onwards respondents have been drawn from six strata: immigrants and descendants from MENAP+ Turkey; immigrants and descendants from other "non-Western countries"; and people with Danish origins. The term "non-Western" is a category used by Statistics Denmark to classify migrants and descendants of migrants as either "Western" or "non-Western" immigrants. They have not specified which countries classify as Western and which do not - it is a public perception that "non-Western" migrants in Denmark are from the MENA, Turkey, and Pakistan (as categorized in the report). More countries may fit into this category. All groups are divided in two age categories: from 18-29 and 30+. The overall response rate in the survey is 31%, with 3,681 responses. There are differences between the response rates for the different strata.
